Ch1
Chase hummed under his breath as he blow-dried his hair. House had finally gotten tired of snarking over his blow-drying habit. It had taken a month, but Chase had eventually trained him. Lately House hadn’t even bothered him about the Bloody Club. Yeah, okay, so he hadn’t actually been to the bloody in ages. In fact, House had managed to keep him occupied nearly every night.
Chase finished with his hair and moved out of the bathroom to finish getting dressed.
He grinned as he watched House dress. House caught him looking and smirked. "Enjoying the view?"
"Always." Chase said, grinning while he grabbed a blue tie and quickly knotted it around his neck over his green shirt.
House visibly flinched. "Oh you are so trying to blind me on purpose!"
"What? Oh come on, it's not that bad! And I'm helping with a surgery this afternoon so I'm just going to wind up in scrubs later anyway." Chase said while straightening his tie.
"I have seriously got to do something about your clothes." House said, shaking his head and wrapping his arms around Chase's waist. He rested his chin on top of his head.
"Oh like you’re one to talk. You look homeless half the time!"
"Mine is a carefully crafted look to keep patients away from me. Yours is just painful to look at."
Chase snorted and turned around in House arms to he was facing him. He started to nibble on his throat. "So. What movie are we seeing tonight?" He asked between nibbles.
"Mmm… What? Oh uh I, Wilson has a case he wants me to take a look at. It’s going to go late so I'm gonna have to skip the movie tonight." House managed to get out.
Chase chucked into his neck. "He probably just wants to get you alone. I've been keeping you to my self for the last month. Go. Have fun with your friend. I'll find some way to entertain my self."
House pulled back and gave him a suspicious look. "Like what?"
"I'm thinking: go to a bar and start a orgy with a few bikers and their bitches." Chase said with a straight face then laughed at the look House gave him. "I'll come home and watch a movie. Maybe try the Food Network and make another attempt at one of us learning to cook something edible."
House flinched. "Don't burn the place to the ground. I don't need a dead, charcoaled wombat. And no fish. You get worms and you’re sleeping on the couch"
Chase chuckled. "I won't. Now," He looked over the alarm clock on the nightstand. "Dr. Cuddy is going to skin us both alive if we're late again. And we're having enough trouble keeping everyone from finding out about us as if is. Being late every day at the same time isn't helping matters." Chase said, still not pulling out of House's arms.
House made a face. "Why don't just go all gay pride on their asses? Hey yeah that'll be fun! We can wear rainbows and triangles and yell 'We're here, we're queer! Get used to it!' And make out in the halls!" House said grinning evilly.
Chase snorted and rolled his eyes. "No House."
"Aww come on! It'd be fun!" House wheedled grinning wildly.
"Cuddy would kill us. Kill us allot. After all the conservative donors threw hissy fits and pulled all their money for the hospital."
"Aw. Ruin all my fun." House pouted.
"Yes I'm a mean sadistic bastard." Chase said sarcastically rolling his eyes.
"Glad we're clear on that."
Chase smirked. "Ok then since I'm the evil, evil sadist in this relationship..." He grabbed House and proceeded to try to make his brain leak out his ears by kissing alone. When he pulled back House was gasping and glaring though the haze of lust. "I hate it when you do this!"
Chase managed to look completely innocent. All that was missing was a halo. "What? Kiss you? Oh dear then this whole relationship must be hell on you."
House glared harder. "Get me horny as hell then send me off to work and refuse to do anything about it all day till we get home!"
Chase smirked. "Poor wittle House. Are you all sexually frustrated? Poor thing. I guess you'll just have to take out your frustration on your lover later in bed after work...oooh wait, no, you're going to be busy tonight! Oh dear you're really in trouble aren't you? Oh well! See you when ever you get done with Wilson!" Chase said perkily. He gave House a quick peck on the cheek and hurried out, grinning at House’s scream of frustration.
Ch2
House twisted his wrist quickly, shooting the ball across the table and into Wilson goal. He smirked triumphantly. "That's what? My fourth win in a row?"
Wilson scowled. "Yeah, yeah, yeah.” He retrieved the ball and threw it back into play.
“So back to our conversation... is your little boy toy still trying to get him self killed?"
"Nope. Not for a month now. He's a well-trained little minion. I say jump, he's air born before I'm done speaking." House told him while deflecting the ball from his goal.
"How do you know? He could be...doing whatever he's not supposed to be doing right now. And are you ever going to tell what the hell it is he was doing anyway?"
House scowled and missed the shot Wilson took. "He told me he's going to stay at home and watch TV."
Wilson cocked an eyebrow. "And you told him you were going to be working."
House’s hands froze on the handles "...damnit."
"Oh don't worry about it. I'm sure he wouldn't lie to you. I'm sure Chase is sitting at home right now doing just what he said he was going to be doing. Just because you're not, doesn't mean that Chase isn't." Wilson grinned, twirling a handle.
House glared at him, viciously slamming to ball towards the other side of the table. "Chase is too honest to lie like that."
"Uh-huh? Chase? Your Chase? 'You can trust me' Chase? Short? Blond? Very pretty? Went to Vogler? That Chase?"
House barely noticed when Wilson made another goal.
"Hooouuuuse? The ball?"
House started out of his thoughts and scowled while grabbing the ball and tossing it back onto the table. He tried to concentrate on the game.
Despite his best efforts his mind once again drifted to Chase. Could he have gone to that club again? They'd spent almost every night together for the last month. This was the first real time they were doing their own things. Could Chase have gone off to play vampire despite what he'd said?
"Goal! Ha! Little distracted, House?" Wilson crowed as he scored again.
House grabbed his cane from where it was hanging off the edge of the table. "I have to go."
"What? Oh come on House I was teasing you! I'm sure Chase is sitting at home, fine. There's no need to freak out!"
"Yeah but I have to go anyway. Next time...don't do this!" House snapped, rapidly limping out of the room.
Wilson rolled his eyes, and retrieved the ball, tossing it into the air and catching it.
“Let me know if you need help hiding the body.” He called after House.
Ch3
Earlier that night
Chase dug though the freezer looking for something to make. Hopefully of the pop into the microwave, variety, since despite what he's said to House this morning, he didn't feeling like burning his apartment building down. He rummaged through the cold depths. Ice, Ice, frozen water balloon, bag of peas, ice, fangs, carrots. Chase stopped and blinked. He peeked under the bag of carrots again. There embedded against the freezer wall in a chunk of ice was the little black case that held his fangs.
“House!”
Chase glared at the innocent box, feeling the urge to strangle his older lover.
“That’s it. That is just it.” He grabbed a fork from the sink and began to jab at the block of ice, breaking it away.
How dare he? It wasn't good enough that he was staying away from his friends? It wasn't good enough that he was giving up something he loved? House had to do something childish like this? He let House get away with hiding his medical journals; he even thought it was sort of morbidly cute when House hid his car keys in order to get some before work nookie. But, nobody, not even House, got away with taking away his ability to escape into the fantasy world of being a vampire.
"That's it. Screw him! I'm going. He's going out to play with Wilson, and I'm going out to play with my friends! Bloody bastard will not dictate to me what I can and can not do!" Chase snapped to the empty kitchen as he took out his anger on the hunk of ice.
The chunk came free, and Chase threw it in the sink, turning on the hot water to flow over it.
He left his fangs to finish defrosting and went to see if his club clothes where still there.
"No. Of course not. Whacker must have hidden them." Chase growled when he looked in his closet and found only his normal clothes and a few good suits. Chase grabbed the set of clothes that House kept on top of the dresser and threw them out the open window.
He started pulling out drawers looking high and low for where House had hidden them. He doubted even House would actually damage them, or throw them out. He knew how much House liked staring at his ass, and his ass looked incredibly hot in black leather.
“Yes!” Chase crowed as he found his clubbing outfit, stuffed beneath the nightstand. His makeup was wrapped up in a black silk shirt. He blew a raspberry at the pillow that House had taken over, and still smelled like his shampoo. “So there.”
Chase grinned. This was going to be great. He was going to go to The Bloody, he was going to dance, and see his friends, and have fun. And House would never know since he was going to be at the hospital all night! Ok so he wasn't thrilled with having to lie to House but damn it, he missed this! He missed the clothes, he missed the make up, he missed the people, and he missed the whole scene!
He would not allow House to take this away from him. So if he had to lie about it so be it. And if House found out, well, there was always make up sex to look forward to.
Chase wriggled into his clothes and made his way to the bathroom mirror. He carefully, with a surgeons steady hand applied his eye liner, happily avoiding poking him self in the eye. He looked at the blue hair dye. Dammit, there was no way House would not notice blue streaks in his hair, and it always took a few days to wash out.
He quickly stashed his supplies away, and then moved back to the bedroom to give himself one last look over before leaving.
The vampire in the mirror grinned back. So it was a slightly rumpled vampire, without any fangs. And the fact that there was a reflection to begin with. Still. It was good to see him again.
Chase rescued his fangs from the sink, turning off the hot water, and popped them onto his canines. He grinned again, and growled a little. There. So much better. He pulled his long black coat over his blue silk shirt, swiping a dust bunny off the shoulder, and headed out.
What could possibly go wrong?
Ch4
Chase swirled the fake blood around the bottom of his glass, watching it coat the sides and once again, as he had many time, marveled at how realistic it looked.
He leaned against the bar, smiling, looking around the dark, smoky room, enjoying being back here again. He'd missed this.
He grinned as he spotted a familiar female form making it's way towards him. "Alexa! Hi!"
"Rob! God it's been forever! Where have you been?! We were just about to drum up a search party! You'd dropped off the face of the Earth!" The short blond woman exclaimed as he wrapped her arms around his in a hug.
Chase hugged back and started to explain, when suddenly he heard House's voice echoed in his head. How can you not notice the lack of vital signs?! House had repeatedly over the last month tried to convince Chase that vampires and werewolves were real. Chase never believed him. The older man had just wanted to ruin his fun.
Chase swallowed hard. Like a missing puzzle piece suddenly clicking into its space, things he never consciously noticed before suddenly seemed glaringly clear. Various people he'd danced with, hugged, kissed, slept with. Most of them he suddenly could remember had warm skin, he feel of their body heat mixing with his, a pounding heart, racing in excitement. But some, including the woman now in his arms, no body heat. Cool skin instead of warm, no heartbeat. All of this slammed into him in a few seconds time.
"Rob? Are you ok? Are you sick?" Alexa asked worriedly at the way he'd suddenly stiffened and his heart had started to race.
"I- um- yeah I'm fine. Just had a little too much wine I think. I fine. Hey um I'm going to go splash some water on my face. I'll catch up with you later ok?" Chase lied smoothly pulling out of her arms.
She let him go but frowned. "Ok. Hope you feel better! You owe me a dance later!" She stood in her tiptoes to peck him on the cheek before moving off into the crowd again.
Chase sagged against the bar for a moment, trying to calm his breathing. He swallowed the rest of his fake blood in a single gulp and moved towards the back and the men’s room. He took a quick look to make sure he was alone before turning to the sinks.
He turned on the cold water and splashed his face a few times then grabbed a paper towel and pressed it against his face as he leaned against the sinks. This couldn't be possible. It just couldn't. There has to be a reasonable explanation for this.
"Hello pet." Chase yelped and jumped in the air at the voice. He whirled, banging his hip into the sink.
The large form of an imposing, pale, man filled the doorway. He recognized him as the same guy he had been on the verge of sleeping with the last time he was here.
“Um, Hi…” Chase let his voice trail off, pretending to struggle to remember a name. He honestly couldn’t remember if the man had ever told him, and he had used this tactic before to intentionally offend hopeful second night stands.
"Victor. I must say the club has been so much drearier without your…lively… presence. I’ve missed seeing you around.”
“My job’s been keeping me busy lately.” Chased forced out a laugh. “They’re really killing me.” ‘Gah! No. Stupid Chase. Don’t think about that.'
The man chuckled. “Poor Pet. What say we go find a nice room and I’ll help you unwind from your long, hard, day.” Victor stepped closer, slowly stroking a hand down Chase’s face and throat. A very cold, pale hand, Chase realized, pressing his back to the sink.
"Uh well you see um I'm in a relationship. That guy? The one who dragged me off the last time? We're together."
Victor shrugged. “Well I don’t plan to marry you." He leaned in closer sniffing at Chase's hair.
Chase scowled and edged around him. "Look I'm flattered and all and if you'd have gotten me last month I'd jump you in a heartbeat, but I'm in a committed thing now."
Victor moved pinning Chase against the sinks. "I think I can change your mind, little one."
"Look I'm said no. I'm not interested. There's a lot of...people out there who I'm sure will jump you in a second. Yeah in fact, there’s this redheaded one…I- uh I think I should go. Just remembered I forgot to shut off the oven." Chase said trying to get an eye on the door without taking his eyes off of the large vampire hovering over him.
"I want you.”
“To go away?” Chase asked desperately.
“I want you. And I get what I want."
Chase struggled to hold on to his last threads of control. He thought fas,t then let his eyes drift over Victors shoulder and widen. "Oh my God!"
Victor turned to look, and Chase was morbidly endeared by the fact that the larger man stepped between him and the implied threat.
“Asshole.” Chase aimed a kick at the vampire’s knees, causing him to stumble. He darted past him and out the door, cursing as he slammed into club goers.
A cool hand reached out to steady him and he jerked away, smacking into a pale blonde. The blonde’s goblet tipped spilling blood that looked all too real.
‘Get out! Get Out! Get Out!’ his mind screamed. He began pushing through people again, gaining speed as he got closer to the exit.
It was only after he has escaped the Bloody, the club shrinking in his rearview mirror, did Chase begin shaking, feeling the syrupy fake blood rising in the back of his throat. He slammed his hand against the steering wheel, and sped up.
Ch5
House tapped his cane against the floor of the elevator, willing it to go faster. He scowled. Chase just HAD to live in an apartment on the second floor, with the world’s slowest elevator. He could have crawled up the stairs by now.
When it finely reached it's destination He quickly pulled out his keys before the doors even opened and unlocked Chase's door. "Chase? Yo Blondie! Short, British, and kinky where are you?!" He yelled out before he'd even closed the front door after him. “Got a Prezzie!” He rattled the plastic grocery bag loudly. Okay, technically it was more of an alibi than a present. He wasn’t suspicious in the least. Just came home early because he was horny, and thought of a great new game. Yeah, that was the ticket.
There was, however, no mad dash to the shiny thing. No enthusiastic welcoming kiss. Not even a “oh my god, he can’t see you, get under the bed!” Nothing. He scanned the apartment quickly.
Hmm. No wombat. He sniffed. No smoke. So that ruled out the kitchen or the ER. The bathroom and bedroom were just as empty.
House threw the grocery bag at the couch.
“Dammit.”
He went to the freezer and peeked under the frozen carrots.
“Dammit.”
Wilson was right. Chase went out to The Bloody Club again. Lousy lying liar who lies.
He moved back out to the living room and scowled at the place in general. He was still trying to decide what to do when he heard a key scraping against the lock and the door swung open to reveal Chase.
House was ready to rip into Chase until he actually got a good look at him. He was wide eyed, pale, shaking, and his makeup was running all over the place. "Chase? What happened?"
House let out a surprised grunt as he found himself with an armful of wombat, the younger man burrowing into his older lover.
"I- it- he- oh god. You- you were right!"
"Of course I was. ...About what?"
"Vampires! Oh God! I was at the Bloody and it just suddenly hit me! Alexa hugged me and suddenly something in my head clicked. She didn't have a heartbeat. Suddenly I remembered damn well everyone I've known at The Bloody over the time I've gone there and suddenly hit me that a nice handful of them are lacking in the body heat and heartbeat area! Oh god I cannot believe this! I- oh hell. I think I'm going to throw up." Chase babbled rapidly, losing what little hold he'd managed to keep on his self-control.
House winced, and awkwardly patted Chase on the back. “Breathe.”
Chase just burrowed closer. House sighed and peeled him off, steering him to the couch.
Chase dropped onto the couch and hugged his knees to his chest, burying his face in his legs.
House rubbed his face, sighing. Part of him wanted to cheer in victory and Chase finely getting a clue, and the rest of him wanted to hug Chase and comfort him. The comforting side won out. He sat down next to Chase and put arm around him. "I told you so." Ok so the nice side didn't totally win out.
Chase gave a snorting laugh. "Thanks so much for the support."
"Hey I did tell you! Repeatedly! And you wouldn't listen! And then you lied about staying home and watching TV! Tell me why exactly should I be oozing with the fluffy bunny lovey dovey mushy comfort?!"
Chase scowled over his kneecaps. "Because you're my boyfriend and you should be supportive while I'm having a mental breakdown!"
House sighed dramatically and pulled Chase closer and kissed him on the top of his head. "There there. Everything will be fine. Yada yada. Blah blah blah. Happy now?"
Chase laughed and shook his head. "I'm filled with ooie gooey warm feelings at that amazing display."
"Great. Now you can explain to me why you lied to me and went back to The Bloody Club."
“Everybody lies?” Chase smiled weakly. House raised an eyebrow.
Chase flinched then glared. "I missed it ok! I missed my friends, I missed dressing up, I missed role-playing, and I missed the whole thing! And for that matter why should I have to give it up in the first place?! Have you stopped watching soaps, or riding your bike, or tormenting me and Foreman and Cameron, or any of your other hobbies?! NO! Why should I have to give up something I love?!" Chase snapped leaping up from the couch to glare down at House.
House slowly raised the other eyebrow. "Real vampires and werewolves."
Chase sagged and flopped back into the couch. He picked up a lumpy throw pillow and hit House in the chest with it. "God damn you."
House snickered.
Chase glared.
House shook his head. "I wasn't trying to stop you from having your fun. But can't you find a club that's not populated by things that want to eat you for dinner?"
Chase shook his head and sighed, letting his head fall back and banging it against the back of the couch. "I- I didn't even notice they were there in the first place. God. How can I be so stupid?"
House looked at the watery eyes and the smudged eyeliner, and took pity on the younger man. “Well if it makes you feel better it was mob stupidity. Apparently you aren’t the only clueless groupie that hangs out there.”
Chase shot his a death glare. "Then how come you've been harassing me about it for the last month?!"
"I expect better from you."
Chase slowly smiled. He didn't say anything, knowing better then to try and get mushy. He leaned over and kissed House. As their lips touched, Chase’s baser instincts took over. His primal instincts realized how close he had come to being a happy meal on legs and was screaming at him to get some ass before he tried to get them killed again.
He fumbled with the buttons on House’s jeans, growling in frustration, as his shaky hands refused to cooperate.
House pushed Chase off slightly and grinned. "End table. Get the bag and meet me in the bedroom."
"House, what...?"
House pushed Chase up off him then pushed him self up and headed for the bedroom. "Trust me, you're going to enjoy this!"
Chase glared daggers at House's back, muttering crankily at the interruption in his sex. He grabbed the plastic bag off the end table and looked in it, curiously. What could be more important than couch sex?
“Oh.” He held up the bottle, and grinned. Strawberry Syrup Sex obviously. He leapt up, following after his lover.
Dammit. He was going to enjoy this. Why did House always have to be right? If the man kept it up, he was going to be insufferable.
Ch6
House was already pulling off his own clothes when Chase got there. He snatched the bottle from Chase's hands and leered at him. "Clothes off and on the bed."
Chase nearly broke the sound barrier while undressing and climbing onto the bed.
House grinned and yanked the cap off the bottle. He eyed Chase thoughtfully. "Where to start...where to start..."
Chase wiggled and grinned up at him. "Are you going to stand there all night? Or are you going to do something with that bottle your holding?"
"Hmmm yes good point. I'm going to go make some strawberry milk!" House turned to leave expecting Chase to yell at him. He was disappointed.
Chase just smiled innocently up at him and ran a hand down his chest. "I guess I'll just have to...entertain my self somehow."
House growled, fighting the urge to just leap on top of Chase and screw his brains out. He carefully climbed on the bed and then dropped the bottle, while he reached over and grabbed Chase's wrists, moving his hands up to the headboard. "Hold that. Now. Don't move a muscle until I say you can, or I stop."
Chase grinned up at him. "Just get on with it already, House!"
House grinned evilly as he grabbed the bottle again and pulled off the top, removing the foil seal. He put the cap back in and opened the pour spout just enough to let out a small dribble at a time. He leaned over, one hand supporting him, and started to draw random patterns on Chase's chest, peeking up once in a while to look at Chase's face.
He continued drawing, humming to him self working lower and lower across Chase's now panting body, till he reached Chase's cock. He stopped and waited till Chase's closed eyes snapped open to see what the hell was going on, to grin sadistically, and started to slowly draw spirals around it.
Chase made a choked noise and nearly vibrated with the effort not to move.
House chuckled and closed the bottle, tossing it to the side. "Oh no. Someone seems to have gone and made a huge mess all over my poor boyfriend! I guess it's up to me to clean this up." He snarked before latching his mouth into Chase's neck.
"Oh! Oh God! Gah. But- uh- you didn't put any syrup there." Chase gasped breathlessly.
House pulled away and scowled sternly at him. "Are you criticizing my cleaning technique?"
"Who me? Never!" Chase panted, grinning.
"Good. Shut up." House said, before going to back to what he was doing. He sucked on the base of Chase's throat till Chase nearly exploded from lust and a dark bruise had appeared. He pulled back to admire his handy work.
"Did you just give me a hickey?!" Chase yelped.
"Hickey? What are we in high school? And shut up! Before I gag you with one of your ugly ties."
Chase took the threat seriously and shut up as House lowered his head again and started to slowly lick off the syrup covering Chase's chest. His tongue traced the pattern he'd drawn earlier producing a whimper from Chase. He looked up to see if Chase was going to speak again then went back to lick and sucking his way down Chase's body.
He neared the one place Chase really wanted him, when he let his hand drift to Chase's leg and slightly tickle making Chase give a startled jerk. House shook his head pasting on a disapproving frown. "Chase, Chase, Chase. What did I say? Tsk, tsk, tsk. I guess I'll just have to go back to the hospital and finish playing with Wilson." House said moving as if to get up and leave.
"What?! Oh you bloody bastard!" Chase snapped before leaping up and some how managing to flip House without jarring his leg, and pin him to the bed.
He swiftly covered House's mouth with his own and went in search for every last hint of strawberry essence, licked off his own body. He pulled back for air grinning down at the more then slightly dazed House. "Still feel like going back to the hospital?"
"Yes since you're trying to kill me!" House managed to gasp out.
"Awww poor baby." Chase mocked before reaching down and grasping House's cock. "Oh you got a little something here."
"There is nothing little about it!" House snapped back at him.
Chase smirked. "Want me to do something about that?"
House's lust fogged brain was a little slow. "Err yes?"
"Then do something about this!” Chase pointing down at his own rock hard and still syrup-covered cock.
House grinned. "Then get up here already!"
Chase swiftly moved above House, tightly clutching the headboard as House's tongue swirled around him, up and down, licking him like a rapidly melting Popsicle.
House's hands held Chase's hips hard enough to leave bruises, holding him still, as he worked to make Chase's head explode.
Within only minutes Chase was coming with a yell. He sunk down next to House on the bed, breathing hard.
House poked him in the side. "Hey! Aren't you supposed to be doing something right now?"
Chase stared at House blankly for a moment, a lazy grin slowly spreading across his face.
"Close your eyes." It was a request, which took House by surprise. Oh he was used to Chase telling him what to do. The little wombat could be downright demanding. But he never just asked. House shut his eyes.
"Keep them closed."
The bed creaked and the mattress dipped as Chase repositioned himself. House jumped as he felt the cool sticky syrup being poured on to his stomach, collecting in a small pool in his navel.
House dropped his hand to Chase’s shoulder as the young blond began lapping at the collected syrup, thrusting his tongue in and out of the depression. House’s grip tightened and Chase’s thrusts deepened, settling into a familiar rhythm. The muscles in House’s stomach clenched, and Chase began to lap softly at the navel again, humming as he licked the last bit of syrup up. He dipped in once more, sucking hard to remove the last traces.
He bit down, and House came, clenching his fists around Chase’s hair.
Damn that was good. And he hadn’t even touched House’s cock, talented son of a bitch.
Chase crawled back up House’s body, falling in to a lazy kiss. "All better?"
House just stared at him blankly, and grinned. "You could say that."
Chase chuckled and snuggled into his side. "I hope you realize it's your turn to change the sheets."
House gave him a glare. "Is not!"
Chase smirked. "Is too. And before you can start arguing like a two year old, I changed them last time!"
House pouted. "But..."
"I won't let you shower with me if you keep arguing."
House scowled then poked him. "Fine! I'll change the sheets. Move your skinny, little, anorexic butt out of the bed then."
Chase blinked at him while he slid out of the bed and stretched. "What are you talking about? I'm not anorexic."
"Wilson thinks you are. Or that you have a tapeworm. Haven't you noticed him piling food on you recently?" House asked while yanking the sticky, wet, sheets off the bed.
"He does? He is? I just thought he started cooking more food because you steal all of his and he over compensated too much..." Chase mused while leaning against the dresser.
"Nope. He thinks you're too thin and made it his personal mission to feed your within a inch of your life. You've just been enjoying the feed too much to notice." House snickered tossing the sheets into the corner and pulling out clean ones.
Chase narrowed his eyes at House's back. "What did you say to him?"
House glanced over his shoulder. "Why are you blaming me?!"
"Because I haven't lost any weight recently and Wilson has only been doing this, what a month? Since you had a little talk with him about...me."
"I said no such thing! He just assumed you have an eating disorder and I was coming to him for help in getting you help. Cameron has him convinced that you have some kind of psychological disorder because you’re so fixated on fat Americans.” House said snickering, as he yanked the sheet into place.
"Oh for the love of God... I am not anorexic! I have a fast metabolism and I have an active life style! You've seen me eat! Fat just does not stick to my body!" Chase snapped, looking like an irritated wombat.
House chuckled and wrapped his arms around Chase. "Oh stop pouting. He gets to feel good about feeding you and you get to be stuffed full of Wilson's cooking. It's a win/win situation. Now. I was promised a shower!"
Chase grinned and headed towards the bathroom, tugging his older lover along.
Ch7
Chase yanked the towel down from his head and scowled at House. "What?"
"Are you going deaf Blondie? I said go down to my bike and get my extra change of clothes."
"At this time of night?! Don't you have any thing here?" Chase asked disbelievingly.
"Yeah, but they seem to have gone missing.”
Chase glanced at the window. “Heh…oops.”
“Yes oops, so go get my clothes. Hup to. Unless you’d rather me make you get them first thing in the morning.”
Chase dropped the damp towel into the hamper and placed his hands on his hips scowling down House who was happily lounging naked on the bed. “Why can't you go get them your self?"
"Naked. None of your tiny, tiny, little clothes will fit me. And also Cripple! And you're my boyfriend and you're supposed to be nice to me." House told him grinning.
“No one’s around.”
“I am not going to the police station naked again. Go fetch my clothes minion."
"Oh I hate you. Oh dear God do I hate you!" Chase grumbled while snatching a pair of sweat pants and a t-shit from his dresser. He quickly slipped on a pair of sneakers, grabbed House's keys and with a last death glare at House headed for the parking lot and House's bike.
House waited a minute till he heard the front door click closed then eased him self out of the bed and opened the bottom drawer of the dresser. Taking out his favorite pair of pajama bottoms, he flopped back down on the bed, pulling them on.
“Sucker.”
---
Chase sighed in irritation as he unlocked the safety box bolted to the back of House’s bike. A tee shirt and pair of khakis had been crammed into the small box, along with House’s cell phone. The cell phone beeped impatiently at him. He snatched up and looked at the screen seeing House had left it on. “Twenty six messages? Why the hell does he bother to have a phone?”
And the battery was nearly dead. Great. He'd better bring it in and plug it in before the battery drained completely. Maybe if he badgered House enough he would actually put a dent in his voice messages.
Curiously he flipped though the phone book and grinned when he saw he was number one on House's speed dial. It almost made up for the fact that the picture ID was of his naked ass. House was so getting a lecture on responsible camera phone usage.
He slammed the lid back down on the safety box and tucked the bundle under his arm. He stiffened when he felt eyes on the back of his neck. Cautiously he turned, heart plummeting as he saw Victor leaning against a concrete pillar, flanked by two large werewolves, one male, one female. They weren’t even bothering to hide the fact that they weren’t human.
“Hello again Pet. Fancy meeting you here.”
The werewolves were sniffing in his direction and leaned towards Victor and whispered something to him. His head turned sharply and he sniffed and growled.
"Little slut aren't you? Run away from me so you can came home and fuck your mutt? You reek of him." Victor growled moving in closer.
Chase squeaked and backed up pressing against the bike. Hands still behind his back he swiftly hit the first number in the speed dial and kept the phone in his hand. "I uh look let's not do this ok? We had a...thing at the Bloody but it's over. Why don't you and your friends just go ok? I won't tell anyone what happened. We can just forget this whole thing!"
Victor snorted. "You thought you could get a way with this? Flirting with me then leaving me all hot and bothered? Then pathetically running from me again tonight?"
"Look I said I was sorry! But I'm with someone now! And you were...uh a bit intimidating at the Bloody! Can't we just forget about this?"
"Oh no. No one runs away from me. I wanted you. I still want you. And I will have you. Even if it's just as a meal!" Victor growled before leaping on Chase. Chase let out a startled scream that was cut short as he and Victor fell over the bike, landing in a tangled heap on the other side. Chase kicked out blindly at the threat.
The large vampire was lying on top of him, trapping his arms. He held his head still in an iron grip.
“You really shouldn’t have run pet. I could have made this enjoyable.” Victor’s canines seemed to elongate, and Chase let out another muffled scream as he felt the sharp teeth sink into his neck, piercing his jugular.
Chase tried to fight but Victor was too strong. He could feel the blood pumping out of his body, into the cold greedy mouth at his neck. He could feel his own body start to become cold, his fingers tingling as his vision blurred.
The strength drained from him and Chase stopped struggling. Blankly he stared at the elevator, watching the lighted numbers slowly count down. He frowned. No one ever came down here at this hour.
“Good thing House didn’t come down here.” He mumbled.
Victor pulled away. “What was that pet?”
Chase sighed, eyes sliding closed. He grinned tiredly. “He would’ve gone to jail naked. Again.”
Ch8
House hummed to him self as he dug though Chase's fridge, looking for something good. He glanced up when the phone started ringing. After only a few rings the answering machine kicked in. "This is Chase. I'm not home right now. If it's important I can be reached on my cell phone at 555 063-4598, other wise leave a message after the beep!" Beeeep! " - You and your friends just go ok? I won't tell anyone what happened. We can just forget this whole thing!"
House turned full towards the phone at Chase's voice coming from his own answering machine, sounding far away and frightened.
Another voice answered, low and dangerous.
"You thought you could get a way with this? Flirting with me then leaving me all hot and bothered? Then pathetically running from me again tonight?"
House eyes widened and he quickly limped for the front door.
---
House pounded his fists against the metal elevator door, urging it to hurry up. He screamed in frustration, pounding again. “Goddammit! Come on!” The elevator lurched to a stop, the doors sliding open to reveal the parking garage with a slow sigh.
His eyes locked on to the still body of his lover, trapped under that damn, pale vampiric hulk he had pulled off Chase a month earlier. The blond was limp, an eerie, vacant smile on his slack face.
He moved as fast as he possibly could, storming towards them, He quickly bought his cane down on the hulk’s head, causing the vampire to stop feeding and snarl at him. Chase’s blood dripped from his mouth. He looked past House. “Well just don’t stand there. Kill him you idiots!”
House turned, noticing for the first time the pair of werewolves that stood in the shadows. They advanced.
House swung at them when they rushed him. He felt a sear of pain in his arm as one got too close, but he ignored it, swinging his cane like a baseball bat. It cracked against the male’s skull, sending him to his knees. He let the cane swing back over his shoulder, turning to connect with the female that was sneaking behind him. The cane smashed into its target, breaking under the strain. She too fell back, shaking her head.
He took a moment to look over at Chase. He looked dead. Fear and worry spurred him as he turned on the vampire with his broken cane and using every drop of strength he had, drove it though his chest and into his heart.
The vampire dropped, the cane coming out his chest with a sickening slurp.
House tightened his grip on his cane, waiting for the werewolves to attack again. They simply looked at him, blinking in shock.
House glanced down at Chase, then back at the werewolves. “Well, Come on you sons of bitches!” They still didn’t move. Finally the male seemed to find his voice.
“Are you fucking nuts? You just killed a fucking vampire with a cane. I’m not getting near you.”
The female approached him and he swung his cane in her direction. She held up her hands placatingly, slinking to the ground. She stretched out, grabbing the vampire’s expensive loafer and dragging him away from House by his ankle. House took the opportunity to grab the other half of his cane.
“Shit man, calm down. We’re leaving. You don’t want nobody finding a dead vampire in your garage do you? Johnny, get his arms.”
The other werewolf grabbed the vampire’s arms and they hurried away quickly, pausing at the edge of the shadows. “Uh if you ever have need of our, specialty services, just-“ Johnny stopped with a yelp as the broken cane was hurled at his head. “Idiot.” The female hissed, shoving the other werewolf and the body of their former employer out of the parking garage.
House dropped to the ground at Chase's side desperately checking for any signs of life.
Chase was barely alive. The pulse was thready and weak, and he was breathing in tiny, shallow gulps. House knew Chase would never make it to the hospital, and even if he could nothing could be done for the young man. The one fact everyone seemed to agree on when it came to vampires was that once bitten, there were only two choices for the victim. Being drained and left for dead, or being drained to the point of death, and being turned into a vampire themselves, by drinking vampiric blood.
House swore looking around for the empty parking lot. His eyes landed on the broken cane. Dark blood still glistened at the ragged tip. Could that work? Was it enough blood? Did you need an actual vampire to turn someone?
House had to take the chance. He grabbed the cane, letting the blood coat his fingertips. He put his fingers to Chase’s mouth, trying to get the unresponsive blond to take it. He was so intent on his task that it startled him when he felt Chase’s lips move, tongue lapping delicately at the blood.
House looked up, meeting clouded, half closed eyes. Chase’s lips tilted into a tired smile and he pressed a soft kiss to the fingertips resting against his lips. House tried to smile reassuringly, bringing his free hand up to stroke the cold cheek.
“You just hang in there Rob. We’ll be fine. Just keep fighting okay?”
Chase turned his cheek into House’s hand and closed his eyes again. His chest hitched, and then went still as his eyes slid closed.
House continued to stroke the pale skin, his other hand sliding down to rest over the quiet heart.
“I'm going to be very annoyed if I have to go hunting down the Grim Reaper and kick his ass to get you back. Just keep fighting. Come back to me. I refuse to lose you.”
House continued to talk quietly to his lover, waiting for him to return.
