She pulled up outside a large building, looking at the piece of paper she held in her hand again, �Well the name matches� she thought to herself as she got out her car. This was to be her first holiday for a while now, and to be truthful, she wasn�t really looking forward to it, a week alone? A friend recommended the place a while back; they had spent a few weeks here a while back and said it was a relaxing break. It was only yesterday she found herself in the inspectors office being told she was officially on 2 weeks leave.

�But ma�am I don�t need a holiday� June protested

�Yes you do and I won�t take you arguing with me over it, you�ve been through a rough time if it recently and you DO need a break� Gina said

�But...� June said

�No buts, as of now your on 2 weeks leave� Gina smiled �off you go�

June looked at her and sighed before leaving the office and going to get her things.

She decided not to argue, after the year she�d had already she could kind of agree she needed a time out of sorts, between Jim, Gabriel, Jim again and then the rape 5 months ago, it was surprising June Ackland was still alive and kicking and amazingly still sane. So, here she was making her way into this hotel and over to the reception desk.

�Hi miss can I help you?� the young woman behind the desk asked

�Yes I have a booking, the names Ackland� June replied �god she looks about 12 she thought to herself as the girl disappeared to get the keys after checking the reservation on her computer. June took the opportunity to look around, she found herself watching a young family in the corner of the room, on their way out. A sudden wave of loneliness came over her as she watched them she felt sad that she had no one to share her holiday with, �Its going to be a long week� she thought to herself.

�Your keys miss� the young woman said holding them out to her, �you okay?� she asked

�Oh yeah sorry, off in a world of my own� June smiled �Thank you� she said taking the offered keys, She picked up her bag and headed in the direction of the lift. Checking the room number on her way 101, someone was taking the piss somewhere, she hated that show when it was on telly. �Oh well she thought� as she opened the door and started to unpack her things. She looked around the room �Don�t seem so bad, it looked ok, comfortable enough� she thought.

She took her book and sat down on the bed, she decided to read for a while rather than go exploring the hotel, she would have plenty time for that the rest of the week.

Her daughter had given her this holiday break as a birthday present, although she was not overly chuffed about it but decided not to argue and go anyway. She also needed a break if she was honest with herself. Still here she was �Hotel don�t look too bad, should be a relaxing break� Sheelagh thought as she made her way inside and booked herself in.

It had been four months since she had left Sun hill for her new job, and although she was enjoying it, she missed Sun hill like crazy, especially her colleagues. One in particular, even though she was reluctant to admit it, June Ackland. June had been her best friend for years, and if Sheelagh was truly honest with herself she had fallen in love with June, it had taken time, but she had developed deeper feelings for her than friendship. This was something Jo Masters had taken great delight in teasing her over during her last few weeks at Sun hill, she had confided in her over those few weeks. Jo had tried to get her to admit her feelings to June, but Sheelagh refused saying she did not want to hurt their friendship. Something she had regretted now. She had thought about calling on several occasions over the last few months, but never did, work always seemed to be getting in the way.

Unpacking she thought to herself about what might have happened if she would have told her. Shaking her head she decided to go for a walk around the hotel get her bearings and maybe find something to do to take her mind off June Ackland, she was on holiday after all.

June looked across at the time and put the book down on the bedside table 8 o�clock, she was feeling somewhat hungry. Deciding against room service, those things always cost far too much, she had decided to go down to the main restaurant to see if they were still serving. She picked up her purse and headed out locking the door behind her.

Sheelagh had been sitting in the bar for about half an hour, still with the same Gin and tonic she�d bought when she arrived there, not really in the mood for a drink, but it seemed like a good idea at time. She looked across as another body entered the bar, she thought she looked a bit familiar. �June� Sheelagh thought �that�s who she looks like� she shook her head and took another sip from her glass �Must be going crazy� she thought as the woman walked past her and into the hotel restaurant.

�What do you mean your not serving anymore?� June asked sounding a little frustrated �Haven�t you got anything?�

The waiter shook his head �No miss I�m sorry we stopped serving fifteen minutes ago� he said

�Nothing not even a piece of toast?� she asked, still her shook his head apologetically. �Fine then� June said �what about the bar?�

�They might have crisps or something I�m not sure, sorry miss,� He said as he went to clean some more tables.

June headed out the restaurant and into the bar; she sat herself at the end and waited for the barman to come over.

�Hi there what can I do for you miss?� the barman asked, he was an elderly gentle man with greying hair,

June smiled at him �I�ll have a glass of white wine please, make it a large one� she said �Oh and if you have anything edible I�m starving�

�Can make you up a plate of Chips if ya like?� He asked

June smiled �Yes please� she replied handing over the money.

�Chips�ll be bout 5 minutes� he said handing her the change �you need and sauce or owt� its at the other end of the bar over there�

�Thank you� June said and started to look around her as she waited.

There was only a few people in the bar, another woman sat at the other end of the bar with a drink �She looks about as bored as I feel� June thought. There were two blokes over in the corner playing pool that was about it. �Not a very busy bar� she thought

�Here you go missy� the bar man said handing her the plate of chips. June thanked him and walked over to the other end of the bar to get a fork and a little sauce. She passed the woman at the other end �looks a bit like Sheelagh� June thought as she headed back over to the seat she found near the door. �I must be going mad� she smiled to herself �seeing Sheelagh everywhere�.

June missed Sheelagh, and was not afraid to admit it either. She had come to terms with it a while ago after Sheelagh had left, even though they were best friends, June had wished they had maybe been something more. She had fallen for her in a way, and come to terms with liking her more than just a friend. However, she had lost her chance, she could have said something while Sheelagh was still at Sun Hill but never did. �She was probably married by now, and happy in a new life away from Sun Hill, maybe even forgotten about us all� June thought to herself as she ate her chips, glad to be finally getting something to eat.

� It was June�, Sheelagh thought watching the woman collect things from this end of the bar and heading away again. Her heart skipped a beat as she watched her from where she sat at the bar. Finally plucking up the courage to go over to her and say hi, Sheelagh found her-self now standing at June�s table.

�Long-time no see� Sheelagh said smiling at her.

June looked up and smiled widely �Hi� she smiled standing immediately and giving her a hug. Pulling her down beside her as she sat back down.

�Chip?� June smiled offering her the plate Sheelagh took a few smiling.

�So how you been?� June asked, �how�s the new job?�

�Its ok, I�m enjoying it at the moment, though I miss you lot� Sheelagh smiled June smiled back at her.

�Seeing anyone?� June asked Sheelagh shook her head blushing a little

�Now I find that hard to believe, a looker like you still single� June said teasingly

�You want another drink?� Sheelagh asked,

�No thanks this is enough� June smiled nodding at her still nearly full glass.

�How long you staying here for then?� June asked,

�Oh Just the week, my daughter thought I needed a break and bought me one for my birthday� Sheelagh said

�Oh that�s right it was your birthday last week� June said leaning over and kissing her cheek �Happy belated birthday� She smiled.

Sheelagh went a little red, grateful that the lights were low so June didn�t notice.

June sat in silence eating away at the plate of chips occasionally looking up at Sheelagh who was now sitting watching her.

�What?� June asked

�Nothing� Sheelagh said going a brighter shade of red.

�What is it? Come on you can tell me, thought we were mates?� June asked placing her hand over Sheelagh�s. Sheelagh withdrew her hand quickly,

�Sorry� June said �see you later� she got up looking a little hurt and started to head from the bar

�June! Sit back down please� Sheelagh called after her causing June to turn and walk back to the table sitting herself down again.

�Why won�t you talk to me? There is obviously something bothering you� June said, � you looked a bit out of it then�

�If I tell you then you have to promise not to be mad at me or run away?� Sheelagh said not looking her in the face avoiding eye contact.

June was a little curious �Now what could you possibly say that could make me run a mile?� June asked laughing a little trying to lighten the mood a bit. Sheelagh sat there in silence for a while trying her best not to look at June too often, she was trying to work out how best to tell her she was in love with her, but didn�t want to get hurt. June sat watching her picking at the nearly finished plate of chips.

About ten minutes later June looked over at Sheelagh with concern. �You�re not ill are you?� June asked, watching her for a reaction. Sheelagh just shook her head. �Then what is it?� June asked, �Come on Sheelagh, we gonna sit here all night until you tell me?�

Sheelagh leant over and kissed June hard. �Figured it out yet?� Sheelagh asked as she pulled away.

June sat looking at her a little shocked to start with �I�.� June stuttered her mouth open slightly.

�Yeah bad idea sorry� Sheelagh said starting to make her move away from the table as June grabbed her hand

�don�t leave just yet� she said softly pulling her closer a little.

Sheelagh looked at her �I�m sorry about�� but her words were lost as June pressed her lips against Sheelagh�s flicking her tongue lightly at Sheelagh�s bottom lip as if asking permission. Sheelagh�s lips parted and June slipped her tongue into her mouth kissing her harder and more passionately as each second passed.

As they parted sometime later, Sheelagh looked deeply into June�s eyes. �I�� Sheelagh stuttered.

�Oh come on! We�re not starting this again!� June smirked, as she and Sheelagh laughed a little.

�So um� your room or mine?� Sheelagh asked cheekily. �How about we finish our drink first?� June asked. Sheelagh nodded in agreement as June covered Sheelagh�s hand with her own. Sheelagh smiled, not pulling away this time. As June smiled back, she kissed Sheelagh lightly.

�Now here was me thinking you were in no way interested in me and that you�d probably have a strapping young man following at your heels like a little lost puppy� June smirked sipping her wine slowly. Sheelagh smiled and let her hand fall onto Junes thigh stroking lightly as she finished her drink quickly. �Steady on� June laughed �Anyone would think you were eager to leave and go upstairs� June smiled.

�And you�re not?� Sheelagh smirked, �As for a strapping young man, how can I find someone when I�ve not gotten over someone else.� June smiled, blushing a little as she watched Sheelagh closely. Sheelagh automatically stroked June�s thigh lightly. June sipped her wine, holding back a moan.

June quickly finished her wine putting the glass back down on the table �right my room now� June said getting up and nearly running from the room looking back a few times making sure Sheelagh was following her. June stepped into the lift and held it open waiting for Sheelagh who stepped in a few minutes after her, pinning June against the back wall as soon as the button for the first floor had been pressed. June smirked at her.

�Pity it�s not the top floor,� Sheelagh smirked as she watched June closely. Sheelagh kissed June passionately still holding her against the wall, June kissed her back equally, moaning loudly, feeling a knee press between her legs a little. The doors pinged open.

�This is our stop� June said moaning softly as she slipped out from Sheelagh�s grip and headed out the lift. Sheelagh followed closely behind her and leaned against the wall beside the door to June�s room as she raked her bag for the keys. Finding them eventually June opened the door and let them both in. �do you want a coffee or something?� June asked as she threw her bag down on the chair in the corner, she stopped in front of the kettle provided in the room. Sheelagh came up behind her and slipped her arms around June�s waist.

Sheelagh kissed lightly up and down June�s neck. �It�s up to you,� she whispered, as she held June tighter. June moaned loudly, leaning back in Sheelagh�s arms, wrapping them more tightly around herself. Sheelagh smiled and moaned against June�s neck as she continued the kissing then began sucking slightly. Junes moans got a little louder �think I�ll give the coffee a miss just now� June managed her breathing quickening slightly as she turned in Sheelagh�s arms, pressing her lips to hers once more. Backing up against the table a little June lifted herself on-top of it slightly, sitting on the edge she wrapped her arms around Sheelagh a little tighter. Kissing her with more passion slipping her tongue into Sheelagh�s mouth as she felt Sheelagh�s fingers slowly move to the top of her shirt and start to undo the buttons slowly one by one. June moaned a little into the kiss as she felt the cold air against her skin as Sheelagh pushed the shirt from her shoulders. Lowering her onto the table a bit as she kissed her again. Sheelagh kissed June passionately, parting her legs slightly, moving in between them as she held her tight. June moaned loudly wrapping her legs tightly around Sheelagh�s waist. June blushed a deep shade of red and closed her eyes moaning softly as Sheelagh�s hand reached where she most desperately wanted her.
