  a/n: The “I” in this is Derek. This kind of just came to me while I was listening to “I Know” by Placebo. It could probably use a bunch of work seeing as I wrote it in a few minutes, so critiques are extremely welcome. Just a short drabble, not really graphic….
  
  Sin

  I don’t care how fast you run, you’ll never get away from me. You can burn the notes, the flowers, the clothes you wore. You can rip up the pictures, delete the conversations, bury everything that even slightly reminds you of me. It won’t matter.

  When we were together, our bodies were on fire, our hands melted flesh. Our breath and pants froze, our tongues painted each others’ bodies. You still have the scars from my roaming hands, the burns from my heavy breaths. Your body is stained with the evidence of our passion, the beautiful, treacherous tattoos from my tongue.

  And my lips, they were poison. It wasn’t meant for you; you were supposed to be special. I was ready to settle, I was ready for you. But you had second thoughts, doubts overtook you. You wanted the sin without the sinner.

  Your stepbrother! That was too wrong for you. You had to fuck his best friend on the couch downstairs instead. You had to fuck him while I was home, loud so I could hear every second of it, no matter how hard I tried not to. It broke me, you broke me, that night. But I won’t crouch down and cower in defeat. I won’t curl up and whimper like a kicked dog. I’ll force you to remember.
  Remember my hands, my breath, my tongue. Remember my lips, poison seeping into your skin to your brain, to your heart. Feel it burn, feel the pain. Remember me- I won’t let you forget. The past will catch you up as you run faster. Run Casey, run.
