Dave was on his bedroom floor, doubled over in pain. Sweat dripped from his forehead as he held back the screams of twisting agony. The orange of his carpet swirled before his eyes and he heaved. He felt like he was going to die, his skin, burning, always burning. It had started three days ago. This horrible, baking fever. It began around midnight, waking up in his sweat soaked sheets. His mother had kept him home from school, trying to cool him down with ice bags and cold compresses but it had done nothing to tame the wildfire that licked through his veins, consuming him until he was a delusional, cooking mass. Now, here he was, clawing at his arms and screaming as the pain consumed all of him. His world was nothing but pain and fire for all of about a minute and suddenly, it was gone. The blinding pain had disappeared. He no longer felt as though someone had set him ablaze. These were replaced by something else. A deep rooted need that he could not pin point or deny had flooded him. He was breathing heavily, and only one thought filled his mind, one image, one person. “Hummel,” he growled. Dashing over to the window, he yanked it open and felt the chilled night air hit his flushed, muscular form. Tilting his head back, he inhaled deeply. When he seemed to have found what he was looking for, he leaped from the window, landing gracefully on the plush grass in his back yard. As soon as his feet touched, he was off, dashing down the streets of Lima with a new found purpose. xXxKurtxXx “Kurt Hummel, I have no idea what possessed you,” the slender boy mumbled to himself as he strolled down the empty sidewalks of this little hick town. It was a chilly autumn night and he was bundled up in his fashionable peacoat and the adorable, piano key scarf Carole had knitted him for his birthday. The tap of his flats against the pavement were the only sounds besides his own thoughts. He had no idea why, but he couldn’t shake this nagging feeling that he should go out walking at midnight. It just would not leave him be and after trying to sleep, and failing, until the hour was upon him, he decided to give it a shot. So, safely bundled from windburn and chapped lips, he had slipped out the back door without waking his family and had been walking since. It was now one AM. Having no real destination, he’d let himself get lost in thought and just letting his feet carry him wherever they felt like. It wasn’t until a passing car jolted him out of his thoughts that he realized just where he’d been taken. The gates of the cemetery were unlocked for some reason. The tomb stones, which didn’t normally bother him, looked ominous and haunting in the low light and chill of the night. Yet, he found himself drawn in. Cautiously, he stepped in, taking the same path he had every time he’d been here. There she was, at the very top of the hill. He took off one glove, tracing pale, slender fingers over the polished marble. A painful lump formed in his throat as his mind was filled with memories of a happy, laughing, kind woman. A woman who had kissed his boo boos and walked him into his first day of Kindergarten. A woman who had rocked him to sleep with lullabies about cradles and mocking birds, and taught him how to bake cookies. Then more memories. Painful memories of that same woman, lying in a hospital bed, her hair, once golden and beautiful, now gone. Her cheeks and eyes had sunken in with illness. She was in so much pain yet she always smiled, for him, even at the very end. A tear rolled down his cheek. “Hi, Mom.” An unexplained chill ran down Kurt’s spine. Spinning around, he was frozen to the bone with fear. Why was he here? How on earth did he find him? Dave Karofsky stood over him menacingly, his breath making visible puffs of white in the air. He took a step forward. Kurt took a step back, his heel hitting the stone he had been facing a moment ago. Terror filled him as he stared at his long time tormentor. Karofsky moved still closer, causing Kurt to have to bend back over the stone to avoid him. The jock wedged a knee between Kurt’s thighs, one arm sliding under the smaller boy’s arched back to twine his fingers through the chestnut hair. The other hand clasped over one dainty hip. He leaned over the slight frame of his objective, bringing his lips close to one delicate ear, a hairs breadth away from making contact and whispered one word. “Run.” Kurt didn’t have to be told twice. The second Dave let him up he was tearing off into the surrounding wooded area. His heart pounded in his ears as he darted left and right, avoiding thick tree trunks. He didn’t know why Karofsky had let him go and he wasn’t sure, but he could’ve sworn the big lug’s eyes had been a deep emerald green instead of their usual clouded blue. xXxDavexXx The smell of sweat and fear filled his nostrils, thrilling him. Hummel was no track star and he could have caught him easily, but he decided to let the boy tire himself out. He followed closely, loudly behind, urging his prey to run faster, longer. He wanted to savor each moment of the hunt and the adrenaline rush it brought him. But, once they reached a clearing, he decided enough was enough. He wanted it and he wanted it now. He grabbed the boy around the waist from behind and dropped, taking the brunt of the impact. Kurt screamed as he was brought to the ground. Karosfky had him on his back, his wrists pinned as he fitted his hips pleasantly between the squirming boys legs. Tears streamed down flushed cheeks and begging poured from those soft, pink lips. “Please,” he cried. “I don’t want to die. Not here. Not like this.” He was hysterical as he pleaded for his life. Dave leaned down, licking the tears from one velvet-skinned cheek, then the other. He nuzzled into the pale flesh of his throat. “Shhhhhhh,” he soothed. “You’re safe.” Kurt was gasping and panting, caught in a fit of hysterics. Dave moved close to the pale ear again and whispered softly. “You’ll always be safe, as long as you’re mine.” “W-what are you talking about?! I don’t belong to you.”Hummel jerked again, trying to free himself. Dave chuckled. “Oh yes you do. You can’t deny it. You wanted to come out here tonight.” He looked the smaller boy in the eyes now. “You didn’t know why, but you felt drawn to wander alone. Your subconscious brought you to the exact place where I was waiting for you. You could’ve run to the streets, but you chose the seclusion of the trees. Your mind knows, you’re body,” he ground his hips against the slender ones beneath him, “knows why you wanted to be here.” xXxKurtxXx No. It was all coincidental. The urges, the location, and he was so not getting turned on by this! It was the first time anyone other than himself had even brushed against that part of him and that was why he was reacting. At least that’s what he wanted to believe. Karofsky’s voice dropped some, smooth and silken and, though he tried to resist, calming. “This was meant to happen. And as long as you’re mine, you’ll be safe. Just relax, and surrender to yourself, and me.” The brute was nuzzling his neck again. He felt sickened, and aroused all at the same time, but he found he couldn’t fight the latter as the kisses and nibbles and licks worked him into a frenzy. His whole body was humming and purred at the soft lips that teased the sensitive flesh of his throat. There was the harsh sting of teeth but it was quickly soothed with a glide of moist, silken tongue. It was maddening, and before he could stop it, a whimper escaped him. xXxDavexXx He chuckled softly against the little red mark. “Good boy.” Apparently those two words struck a chord in Hummel that he hadn’t known existed and he gasped, his head tilting to the side. Dave positioned himself for the final act of the night, grinning. “Very good boy.” His teeth sunk into the juncture of neck and shoulder and both cried out in pleasure, Dave’s muffled by his mouthful, as they reached their peaks. With one final spasm, Kurt lost consciousness and his body slumped. Dave unclenched his jaw, smiling, pleased with his handiwork. He lapped at the wound, clearing the blood. “I don’t know what happened to me, but I like it.”
