~ Dream a Little Dream of Me ~ "Lana... Lana? I need all of the case files from today if we wanna see home before six.." The weary blonde rubbed his eyes to will away the strong urge to take a long nap right there at his solid mahogany desk, surrounded by expensive leather furniture, law books and bland beige case files that seemed to multiply like rabbits while the staff was gone. "Five thirty already? Well hell.. so much for a cup of tea and a goodnights sleep.." "Sorry Judge Stone, took me forever to find these in Lana's desk, she left about an hour ago.. something about an emergency with her boyfriend." Rachel Miller, the court page in training answered cheerily as she set the thick stack of files in a neat pile in front of him along with a steaming cup of hot tea, lemon on the side. A wry grin would tug on the edges of his lips as he exhaled deeply, lacing his fingers together as he watched her for a moment. "Well aren't you a doll.. just what I was wishing for, hot tea, a pretty girl.. and a mountain of paperwork to sort through.. oh, and by the way.. call me Harry, hon." "Bad habit.. I'll try and remember, I promise.. anyway, do you mind if I go ahead and sign out? I have some plans for my birthday tomorrow afternoon." She smiled softly in return, nibbling her full lower lip as she studied his expression expectantly, reaching back to loosen her brunette locks from the messy ponytail she usually wore while working. "Birthday plans huh? I was sure it was next week.. or is that Bull? And here I am without a gift for such a pretty birthday girl." Resting his chin against his knuckles, sighing softly he seemed to settle into deep thought letting his blue eyes wander down to the petite brunette as an even bigger smile spread over her face. "Well, you could always give me my first birthday kiss.. if you wouldn't be too opposed." Harry Stone nearly had to slap a hand over his mouth to keep himself from laughing, who was she kidding? What man in his right mind would oppose kissing her? With those beautiful green eyes that could light up a room,that beautiful dark hair and curvy little figure that always made him do a double take.. her expression was timid as she watched for any sign of rejection instead she was greeted with a slight nod and a warm smile as he reached a slender hand towards her.. "C'mere Miss birthday girl.." Swallowing slightly, she walked behind Harry's desk feeling incredibly small at only five feet high when he stood up at well over six feet, leaning down his lips pressed against her own firmly but still gentle, nibbling over her lower lip as he drew her close to him. "Happy birthday..." Resisting the urge to whimper as a pair of warm, smooth lips met her own, Rachel rested her delicate hands on his slender waist, opening her eyes slightly she looked steadily into Harry's blue gaze, feeling a sudden, unexplainable spark as he deepened this kiss, threading his long fingers through her hair and gently massaging her scalp as his lips hungrily devoured her own.- You need to be logged in to leave a review for this story.You need to be logged in to leave a review for this story.
