Quick Heads Up: Yes this is a crossover between "Touched by an Angel" and "Supernatural" crossover... Hope you enjoy :)
Supernaturally Touched Introduction "This is one little planet in one tiny solar system in a galaxy that's barely out of its diapers." - Death After the Big Bang, the universe, for a time, was remarkably homogeneous, as can be observed in the Cosmic Microwave Background or CMB (the fluctuations of which are less than one part in one hundred thousand). There was little-to-no structure in the universe, and thus no galaxies. Therefore we must ask how the smoothly distributed universe of the CMB became the clumpy universe we see today. The most accepted theory of how these structures came to be is that all the large-scale structure of the cosmos we observe today was formed as a consequence of the growth of the primordial fluctuations, which are small changes in the density of the universe in a confined region. As the universe cooled clumps of dark matter began to condense, and within them gas began to condense. The primordial fluctuations gravitationally attracted gas and dark matter to the denser areas, and thus the seeds that would later become galaxies were formed. These structures constituted the first galaxies. At this point the universe was almost exclusively composed of hydrogen, helium, and dark matter. Soon after the first proto-galaxies formed, the hydrogen and helium gas within them began to condense and make the first stars. Thus the first galaxies were then formed. In 2007, using the Keck telescope, a team from California Institute of Technology found six star forming galaxies about 13.2 billion light years (light travel distance) away and therefore created when the universe was only 500 million years old. The discovery of a galaxy more than 13 billion years old, which existed only 480 million years after the Big Bang, was reported in January 2011. The universe was very violent in its early epochs, and galaxies grew quickly, evolving by accretion of smaller mass galaxies. The result of this process is left imprinted on the distribution of galaxies in the nearby universe (see image of 2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey). Galaxies are not isolated objects in space; rather, galaxies are distributed in a great cosmic web of filaments throughout the universe. The locations where the filaments meet are dense clusters of galaxies that began as small fluctuations in the early universe. Hence the distribution of galaxies is closely related to the physics of the early universe. Despite its many successes, this picture is not sufficient to explain the variety of structure we see in galaxies. Galaxies come in a variety of shapes, from round, featureless elliptical galaxies to the pancake-flat spiral galaxies. "Boring…" A man said in a slightly bored and slightly playful tone as he sat at a small rickety table in a candy shop with a single old television perched on the counter. It was obvious that this small outdated television was the only thing this shop-owner was willing to have within such a wonderful hidden gem. The shop itself has been open and barely in business for ten years. Somehow it stuck around and in business. Possibly thanks to the man lounging around at the rickety table that was filled with sweets that could make your teeth rot on the spot. Of course this man knew far more than the monotone voice droning on about. He knew how it was created, it was the first lesson he was taught. He knew which worlds were young and which was old. He knew the galaxies off by heart and knew which planets would be safe for humans to live on and which would kill you instantly and NASA didn't even have a clue where to start with those ones. Taking a bite out of a chocolate bar made right in the back of this shop with pleasure for the taste the man stood up and the television clicked off automatically. The show on the television was boring anyway and the man didn't have to be told how things were for he already knew and he knew what was coming and what to expect from second to second, minute to minute and from year to year and sometimes beyond that. It all depended on circumstances and the little lady called Fate. After all, you can't be a believed to be dead Arch Angel and not know things. You didn't get to be Gabriel without knowing what's what around town you could say. Taking another bite out of his nearly devoured chocolate bar he walked to his left joining the obliviously ignorant crowd bustling about their days leaving behind an empty rickety table in a gem of a shop he loves to frequent. Gabriel knew that the scientists who put that information together were too grounded in logic, too grounded in their perfect little view of a chaotic reality. Gabriel knew off by heart that reality is not always probable and with the supernatural, it wasn't all that likely at times either. Gabriel knew for a fact that things based in imagination could breach closer to reality than boxed in scientists unwilling to accept common placed rules and those who didn't believe in the supernatural. It was those kinds of people who slept through their own apocalypse ignorantly and got up to go to their nine to five jobs the next day. Though Gabriel knew there was places where supernatural things that go bump in the night didn't exist, where the real monsters there were some humans themselves and not the shadows or undead or demons and angels. Sam and Dean could attest to that, they sucked at playing actors who played Sam and Dean. "Priceless Balthazar…" Gabriel chuckled, if only he was there to watch them try to act. It would have been funnier than the game show Gabriel put them through. So needlessly said, there was a lot of ways to look at things in the world, and none of it was as kindly organized as that movie starring Jet Li. Gabriel watched the movie once and laughed at how close the humans involved with it got to the right idea but got it wrong on so many levels. It wasn't so kindly organized that you could use technology to explore those realities. Not to mention technology can't do anything to delve into other worlds and realities. Yes there were chances that there are several different versions of one person and sometimes not at all. Again, take Dean and Sam for example. They can exist in so many different realities and then in the same breath they don't exist at all but instead guys named Jensen and Jared or their roles or the roles those roles take on. It's vast, complicated and awfully messy. Gabriel wouldn't have it any other way. As it was clear now, Gabriel never died when his own brother, fallen as he was but still related and in the end still loved, stabbed him in his supposed heart. But Gabriel didn't become the Trickster for nothing, he may have learnt everything he knew from Lucifer but even an old dog could learn new tricks beyond that. And Gabriel was good at playing dead and creating illusions and realities with the snap of his fingers. So when his illusion played the part perfectly, Gabriel moved up from behind in order to stab a brother he didn't like the idea of killing due to them being family in the end. Needlessly said, that was one of Luci's first tricks that Gabriel learnt. He had to do it better, so when the blade pierced his chest cavity from slightly below an illusion had to take his heart's place. Switching the side it was on to the opposite side, Gabriel had less than a split second to pull it off and light himself up with shiny light and ash for wings. He pulled it off and sensed his brother mourning, half tempted to comfort him Gabriel knew better to not to. Lucifer may be his sibling and loved and at one time looked up to, he was still an enemy now. Still the one who in a sense killed him. The rest was up to Dean and Sam; Gabriel left them clues and hopes that they don't muck things up too much. But knowing those knuckleheads, Gabriel wouldn't have been surprised if they did. Shockingly enough, it wasn't them who mucked things up sometime after the whole shove Luci into a box scenario and Dean playing civilian. It was an Angel. Castiel who had a lot of potential in him who failed to see ahead and how his dealing with the devil would end up. Gabriel didn't get involved; he wasn't the kind of guy who always cleaned up other people's mess. And he was technically considered dead of course. He'll get involved if it's absolutely necessary, but as a last option. Gabriel wasn't a coward or heartless by any means, but he believed that they had to learn to stop screwing up because this was the kinds of messes made. No wonder they give Death a headache. So with a snap of his fingers he was in what he lovingly nicknames as T.V land. Pepsi was his newest favorite drink. So while Dean, Sam and a now crazy in a mental hospital Castiel tried to deal with things on their own like big boys. Gabriel pretty much whored himself out to sell Pepsi products and munched on his favorite sweets. The old man wouldn't like Gabriel's choices in some ways, but like him Gabriel believed in letting go of children's hands once in a while and letting them walk unaided. "But this is pushing it…" Gabriel complained as he tossed the empty wrapper in the trashcan and smiled at his producers who had his Pepsi uniform ready for the next commercial. He waved at the poor sucker wearing the Coca Cola uniform. He wasn't aware that his snap of the fingers created a slight ripple that was enough to open a door temporarily. But hey, even Gabriel could have his moments of folly. This is one little planet in one tiny solar system in a galaxy that's barely out of its diapers. I'm old, Dean. Very old. So I invite you to contemplate how insignificant I find you. Authoress Note: Yes, I'm starting again and with a different title. I decided that I didn't really like how I started the other one. So I deleted it. I wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on this story and I hope you don't mind the bit at the beginning. I figured it would be a good start and it allowed me to figure out how to get the ball rolling. Gabriel probably won't be used again, just in this chapter. Maybe he'll be featured again, we'll see. I don't like the fact that he's dead in the show so I fixed it lol. The characters no doubt will be OOC due to the fact that I've never really wrote with them before (not including my first attempt at writing this crossover). This will be featured after the whole Purgatory thing and is more or less a 'happy ever after' kind of thing though in truth a happily ever after might be pushing it for the show... but what could I say besides a good story with believable villians, I'm a sucker for happy endings especially concerning my favorite characters. Though that could be a double edged sword for the main protagonist should I favor the villian lol... Let me know what characters you would hope to see...While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
