Castiel was an angel of the lord and a handsome one at that. However as the days passed, his faith in his father was fading quickly. Out of thin air, his father disappeared which of course left heaven in a state of utter anarchy. For Raphael wanted to rule heaven, and if that happened.. well lets just say it wasnt just Castiel that didnt want Raphael to rule heaven. Sitting in his little spot of heaven, which looked like a beautiful place, he sat there thinking and pondering. His icy blue eyes cast to the ground.”Father... where are you? Dont you know what is happening here and on earth?” he whispered to himself. The once faithful and loyal angel was wondering if their father was truly gone. Was Dean right? Did God abandon all his children including the humans he said to have loved? This was not something he liked to think, but the evidence was clear and at that moment. Castiel knew he couldnt just let heaven come to ruin not if he could help it.
He began to hear Dean call him and he decided to make haste. Appearing behind Dean he spoke.”Hello Dean...” . Dean jumped a bit for he didnt expect Castiel to appear so quickly.”Cas... well that was fast, I only said your name... “ he chuckled as he saw Sam looking at him as well.”Hello Sam...” he added before he looked back at Dean. “ What is it you need?” he asked. Once Dean told him he nodded.”It could be the work of anything..” he replied as he folded his arms across his chest. A slow sigh escaped his lips as his brows knitted together as he was deep in thought. Dean arched a brow and walked up to the pondering angel.”Cas, you ok?” Castiel looked up at Dean. Cas's expression almost looked like a sad puppy dog. His eyes were big, wide and watery. To top it off, it looke like the angel was depressed. "I am starting to think you are right Dean.. my father.. seems to have left us...” he replied . Dean wasnt used to being told he was right, but in a way, he didnt want to be right in this instance. Yeah he wasnt a firm believer in god, but seeing Cas like this was not something he wanted. “Cas... I can be wrong you know. I mean I am sure he will turn up...” Dean answered while chuckling nervously.
Castiel reached into his coat pocket and pulled out the necklace that Dean had let him barrow to find God. “I wont be needing this anymore..” placing it in Dean's hand he didnt know what to do now. Dean looked at the necklace as he placed it around his neck.”Cas....” Dean started to say. Castiel shook his head.”You were right Dean..Now I've got to stop Raphael for if he rules heaven... earth wont be far behind he will destroy anyone and anything that he wishes here and above. We will be in touch.” there was a sound of flapping wings, then Castiel was gone. Dean looked at Sam.”Think he will be ok?” Sam asked.” I am sure he will plus he knows we are here for him. Now we got to figure out what is snatching up and eating people. “
Day had turned into night rather quickly, as Cas wandered the streets. His mind racing, and his heart was not agreeing with his head. His head said be a loyal little solider, while his heart said something wasnt right, and he had to figure out what it was. After walking for a few hours, he wondered if he should drown his sorrows like a lot of mortal men did. Looking up, he saw there was a bar in front of him. It looked normal enough so he walked inside. Music was playing in the background as it seemed the bar wasnt too full. Going up to the bartender he asked for a drink. Little did he know this as a bar for hunters for the most part.
"Hey there. What kinda drink would you like?" the bartender asked.
"Give me the strongest thing you got..." Castiel replied.
Castiel didnt happen to notice a woman was sitting right next to him, looking intently in a book that she had in front of her. There was a sigh followed by a "Damn it..." the woman didnt seem pleased. The bartender handed Castiel his drink and went over to the woman. The woman had dark shoulder length hair and green eyes and Castiel couldnt help but stare at her for a few moments. It was strange, it was like he was starting to feel something but Cas didnt know what it was.
"Problem Ray?" the man asked.
The woman looked at him and nodded."You could say that. These disturbances make no sense.. some point to shifters, the others point to vampires.. what the hell is going on..."
The bartender topped off her drink "Well, the worlds been goin' a bit funky as of late but dont worry you and the others will put a stop to it. " the man grinned. "Well I hope your right.." taking the glass in front of her she downed half of her drink as she went back to work. Cas on the other hand wondered if he heard right. Was she talking about shifters and vampires? Was it possible she was a hunter. He had to know for sure.
"Excuse me bar keep.." Cas said to get the bartenders attention.
"Yes?" the man replied.
"Did I hear her right did she say vampires and shifters? Is she a hunter?" Cas asked curiously.
The man chuckled" Yep she is, one of the best. Are you a hunter?"
Cas shrugged" Guess you could say that. " Cas then turned to face the woman and said "Hello.. I couldnt help over hear you are looking for whatever is causing these disturbances.. perhaps I can help. " Castiel offered.
The woman paused and looked at him. For once she felt her cheeks flush and she found it difficult to speak. Her mouth was ajar and she tried to find the words to speak. This guy was breath taking and she had no idea he was an angel. While she just stared at him, the bartender arched a brow" Ray you ok? You look a little flushed. " the bartender couldnt help but chuckle. Ray shook her head as she cleared her throat "Uh yeah.. I'm fine. Herman could you give us some privacy please?" she asked as he did so she looked at the man again.
"Yeah any help would be great. I'm Ravenna by the way. Ravenna Sinclair but you can call me Ray or Raven if you like. Whats your name?" she asked. For once, Cas smiled slightly and replied. "I'm Castiel.." after the introductions were said, they began to talk about who or what could be causing these disturbances. Though he had no idea that at this moment they were being watched by something that could easily tear them to shreds within an instant. However, it linger in the shadows for the time being.
Castiel got a strange feeling then he looked at Ray. He was about to make a suggestion that may have seemed slightly odd considering they had just met. " This may be a bit out of place but, we should go some where more private... I am getting a bad feeling.. " Castiel whispered to her.
Ray nodded as she had felt it too. "Sure, no problem. " as they stood to leave, they were stopped. Castiel locked eyes with someone. "Ah Castiel... I heard you were slumming it with humans... I have a message from Raphael.. he says back off or you will regret it. consider yourself warned..." with that, the man disappeared. The man was an angel, a hencman of Raphael and he knew if he was giving Castiel an ultimatum, it was serious.
Blinking several times, Ray wondered what in the hell happened. Castiel took her hand, and quickly left the bar. Confused Ray had to ask what was going on."Castiel who was that? And who is Raphael.?" She asked. Cas paused and turned to face her, he couldnt lie to her so he decided to tell her the truth. " That man was an henchman for Raphael.. and Raphael is an angel.. " he knew how strange this sounded but he had to be honest with her. "Wow... angels? I didnt think they existed.. how do you know they are angels for sure?" she asked.
"Because... I am an angel.. " with that he disappeared with her to her place since he could read her mind, it wasnt hard to find out where she lived. looking at her, he thought she would be freaked out, but it seemed she was happy. "Oh my god your an angel? Wow this is amazing. Well I guess I am glad I have an angel to work with. " She said with a wink as she went to grab what she had gathered about the disturbances. Castiel stood there as he smiled, this could turn out to be a very interesting experience he thought.
