It was just another day for Detective Nick Burkhardt, he was following up an some possible Wesen killings. Nick and his partner Detective Hank Griffin suspect it is the work of a Blutbad, but just too be sure they took some of the crime photos to Nick’s Wesen and Blutbad friend Monroe. Nick first met him while chasing down a kidnapper who also happened to be a Blutbad. From then on Monroe has helped in any Wesen related cases. When they arrived at Monroe’s place, they showed him the pictures.
“Sorry but that isn’t cause by a Blutbad” Monroe said. “We have more of a shred and tear style when we go after someone, you might wanna try asking Rosalee she’s down at the spice shop”.
“Alright I’ll head down there now, Hank can you go back to the station and follow up, see if a picture of the killer has come through yet” Nick asked.
“Yeah no problems, I have some paper work I need to get through as well”.
As Nick was leaving the house he noticed a suitcase in the other room.
"Where are you and Rosalee headed?" Nick questioned.
"Oh, I'm going out of town for at least a week, a client called and needs a few antique clocks repaired and they are too fragile to take all the way down here". Monroe replied.
"Well, have fun" Nick said as he left.
When Nick arrived at the spice shop, Rosalee was no-where to be found.
“Rosalee?” Nick called out.
“Back here” replied a voice from the storage room. Out walked Rosalee. “What do ya need, Monroe called and said something about a Wesen case you were working on?”.
“Yeah, at first we thought it was Bludbad but we asked Monroe and he said there is no way” Nick replied handing over the photos.
“Hmmm… I believe I’ve seen this before, I have a book in the back”. Nick followed Rosalee into the storage room. Looking around the room Nick noticed something on one of the shelves.
“Rosalee, is this what I think it is?” Nick asked holding the a bottle of familiar liquid.
“Yeah, I know I shouldn’t keep it around but I was using it to possibly create more antidotes for it, you know in-case Juliette or someone gets infected by it again. We can’t have another outbreak of love happening” Rosalee replied “I know I should have told you about this but I didn’t want to cause any panic or anything”.
“So where’s the antidote for it?” Nick asked.
“Ahh…right over here” Rosalee replied grabbing a handful of vials.
“So how long does this stuff last for, I might need to use it on Juliette you know if she isn’t in the mood” Nick laughed
“Nick, you shouldn’t joke about that. This stuff is extremely powerful but the longer it sits on a shelf the less time it will take to wear off. This batch here should take around 4 hours and the infected person will return back to normal” Rosalee explained “An interesting side effect I was reading about is that when it’s not fresh, the infected will remember everything but will just think that it was instigated by them” she finished off
This gave Nick some brilliant but evil ideas, ever since he met Rosalee she has found her extremely attractive and even more so when she woged. So he started for formulate a plan. With Monroe going out of town for a week this would give Nick a prefect oppotuinity to potion to good use with Rosalee but first he needed to test it out. So without Rosalee noticing he slipped a couple of vials into his jacket pocket.
“So have you got any idea what this Wesen could be?” Nick asked getting back to the topic at hand.
“Well the cuts on his chest and belly almost seen like it were surgically done, what makes you think this was a Wesen?”
“Well when he arrived we found some hair and when we got them analysed, the test came back as some sort of dog or wolf animal but it couldn’t be narrowed any closer than that” Nick explained
“Well sorry but I honestly don’t know what caused this, I’ll look into it a bit more”
“Okay, get back to me if you get any answers, thanks” Nick said as he walked back out front and towards the front door.
After heading back to the station and finishing his shift Nick headed home, on the way he started to think up ways he could slip the potion to Juliette without her noticing. He knew deep down he shouldn’t do it but it was just too tempting, besides it’s not like she wouldn’t want to do it. This way it just gives her a little push to take things to a new level.
