She jerked in surprise when he pushed her against the wall but didn’t fight it, held there by her own want when he pressed his hand to her. He curled his fingertips to press the leather into her damp warmth, serving only to tease.
“When?” she asked, breathless as he eased away again, the lack of pressure both relief and disappointment.
His feral smile was another tease, the rigid flesh pressing out under his own leather. His voice deepened when she risked stroking her own fingers over it. “When I think you’re ready.” He left her aching as he walked away.
It was days later that she understood. The taunts, the hints, the stalking of her as prey, the refusal to let her have what she wanted and he could so easily give. She left her task immediately.
He was sitting in darkness, as if he had been waiting for her. Perhaps he had been. He had known from the start how to manipulate her, what strings to vibrate to play his tune. He only looked up as she entered, not asking permission, and his knowing, expectant expression did not change as she she strode across the floor, not hesitating before sinking to straddle him.
“I’m not waiting any longer,” she told him. “Now or never.”
“I wondered how long it would take you,” he murmured. He cupped her breasts in his large hands. “What would you have of me?”
She took him, riding him slowly, making him wait as he had her. He did not protest, but obeyed her as he would have perhaps no one else, nowhere else. When at last she allowed him to, he shuddered beneath her, her name on his lips. Afterward he was quiescent, the address “My lady,” worshipful and reverent as never before.
