Inspired by the Tiger Lillie's wonderfull ballad 'Fallen Hero', this one-shot is centred around David and Nick. I'm trying to get back into writing, and this little story has been swimming around in my mind for literal years.

A sad, slow, heartbreaking somewhat sequel to the episode "For Gedda", which is the finale for season eight.

For the sake of the story, I changed the verses of the song a little to fit better. You can find the original version in just about any decent lyrics archive on the web.
