Chapter Ten: Tigers in the Hall
The alarm went off at six and Tim was awake instantly. He turned it off and pulled out of Tony’s arms to start getting ready for some early morning exercise. “Tim, for god’s sakes, do we need you shot again?” Tony asked. “No we don’t which is why I’m using the underground car park.” Tim answered. “Coming or staying?” “I’ll come along, need to keep you out of trouble.” Tony slowly rose and got out of bed. “Do you think our ploy will work?” Tony asked, looking at the two beds. “Sex in one and sleep in the other makes it look like we slept in our own beds,” Tim said. “Maids talk you know.” “I suppose so. Well, I’m going to get dressed.” Tony muttered as he went over to his things. He got dressed in his training gear while Tim did the same. Taking only their pistols and ID’s in case they ran into trouble, the two boys walked down to the car park and found an isolated corner. The Hotel didn’t have much in the way of fancy gyms or even a pool, so the underground car park was the best they could get. An hour later, they returned to their room, no incidents to speak of other than Tony having a slight bruise on his shin. After separate showers and breakfast, the two of them were ready to go on the raid. “We better report in,” Tim said. “You do that, I’ll prepare the stuff,” Tony muttered. “In my bag are two bladed fans and a knife. Can you take out one fan and the knife for me please? And be careful, those fans can take off your head,” Tim advised. “You got it,” Tony answered. Tim sat down on the computer and put on a headset. Dialling the connection he patched through to MTAC. “Good morning Director,” Tim said. “Good morning agent McGee. What’s happening?” Jenny asked. “We are getting ready to begin the raid. NCIS Austin will be here in half an hour and...” Tim was interrupted by a loud snap. “...and we are taking a few extra precautions. I am guessing that Andrew Cathie has some martial arts training, so I am taking a few melee weapons,” Tim explained. “That is all good and well McGee, just remember we need him alive. I have some updates on the Green Dragon.” Jenny pointed off-screen and an image appeared on Tim’s screen. “This is the Green Dragon, otherwise known as Jeremy Archer. NCIS Los Angeles will be picking him up in a few hours. I will be awaiting your report, just remember that we need him alive if we are going to find Josie,” Jenny reminded them. “Yes Ma’am.” Tim answered. There was another loud snap and Tim looked around. Tony was moving the fan slowly, experimenting movements with it. “You might want to remind agent Dinozzo...” “Those things can take a human head off? Done that already,” Tim replied. “Then make sure he isn’t armed with it,” Jenny said. “And let your team know of your extra weaponry. Over and out.” Jenny said. “Over and out ma’am.” Tim finished. White Tiger Restaurant, 11am “All teams in position,” Revens said through his communicator. “Everything is set up and ready boss, and we have full satellite and GPS coverage.” Gladhill said. “I am also tracing Cathie’s cell phone so I know where he is, and at the present moment he is in his office as planned.” Gladhill explained over the headsets. “Nice to see there is someone with some knowledge of computers outside of McGee,” Tony muttered. Tim ignored the comment as he, Tony and Revens approached the building. The emblem of a White Tiger head was on one corner of the building. “One warrant, three agents and hopefully nothing to stop us.” Tony said. “Only time will tell,” Tim said. Stepping into the main foyer. There were people walking around in small groups, but nothing specific. Walking through what was so apparently a metal detector, the buzzer went off as each of them walked through. “Who are you?” a receptionist asked. “NCIS, here to execute an arrest warrant,” Revens said, passing her a copy of the warrant. “Offices upstairs?” he asked, leading himself to the stairs, running up them quickly. At the top, taking their guns out, they approached the main door. “Target is still in place?” Revens asked. “Absolutely,” Gladhill said. “Made a call two minutes ago and it was his voice.” “Let’s go.” Revens said. Kicking in the door, guns were pointed and calls yelled. The main chair was turned away, but every gun was aimed at it. “Andrew Cathie, this is NCIS, turn around and put your hands up,” Tony called. The chair swivled, but a woman was sitting in it, not Andrew. “Where is Cathie?” Revens asked. “You just missed him I’m afraid,” the woman said. “And who are you?” Tim asked. “I’d be Shira Whyte,” the woman answered, her hands in the air. “Look out for suspect,” Revens said into his communicator, “he has escaped the office.” “Understood,” a voice answered. “I am cooperating officers,” Shira said as Tim went over and put some cuffs on her. Looking down, he spotted two buttons on the underside of the desk. “What do these do?” Tim asked. When Shira didn’t comment he gave her a bit of a jerk. “Tell me,” Tim snapped. “Red button calls security, blue one opens a passage,” Shira said. “Tony, Ravens,” Tim called. “I heard her. Press it,” Revens said. Tim did so and one of the bookshelves moved aside. “Tony, take her downstairs and load her into the van, Tim and I will follow this passage, he isn’t far ahead.” Revens started down the passage, and Tony walked over to Shira and led her away so Tim could follow. The passage began with a flight of stairs and then a corridor. Chasing it, they heard footsteps ahead. Slowing down and taking up their weapons, they came to a corner. Looking around the corner, there was a man walking away in a hurried pace. “NCIS, hold it,” Revens called. The figure stopped, then turned around and fired on Revens who was standing clearly in the passage. Revens went down and another shot was fired at Tim, who just managed to get behind the corner. “Am I seeing things or am I being chased by the man who defeated Red Phoenix. This will be interesting. But I am getting out of here, either with your head or with you dead.” There was a sound of a blade being drawn. “And how exactly are you getting out of here?” Tim asked. “This passage leads to the car park, right next to my parking spot.” “All hands on car park stand by, Revens down,” Tim whispered into his communicator. “Understood,” a voice whispered back. “But I think you want to do this the old fashioned way,” Tim called around the corner. “Not with guns but with weapons,” Tim had just enough time to duck as he saw Andrew come around the corner and swing a sword at where his head was. The blade clinked off the concrete wall and then swung again to knock Tim’s gun away. “I bet you aren’t even armed with a melee weapon. How unfortunate. I guess your head will be served to the boss as soon as I get there.” Andrew went to swing again, but a knife came up and blocked his blade. “I knew there were chances you had learned a thing or two from Razu, so I came prepared, just in case.” Andrew went to point his weapon, but McGee was faster. With a quick slash he cut Andrew’s gun hand and the weapon was dropped. “McGee, come in,” Tony called. Tim didn’t have time to answer as he had to defend the fast movements of the sword Andrew was wielding. He couldn’t find a chance to get back, as Andrew, while not as skilled as Razu, was still pretty good. Tim needed to find a way through the offensive movements. He shuffled back a few paces, waiting for Andrew to attack. Tim did a turn and Andrew discovered Tim was more armed than he thought. The knife had moved to Tim’s left hand and a folded fan was in the other. “You are resourceful, but it won’t save you.” Andrew attacked again, but Tim, having had enough time to read Andrew’s movements, had worked out a good plan. Andrew did a swipe which Tim blocked with his knife. With a fast swipe, the folded fan cut across Andrew’s right arm. Andrew dropped his defence and Tim moved forward, his knee flying up to meet Andrew in the genitals, and then the blunt end of the fan striking him in the collarbone. Andrew, dazed and confused, fell to the ground. “McGee?” came Tony’s voice. “Tony, call an ambulance, Revens is down and I have Andrew. I need some cuffs,” Tim called down the passage. Tony arrived a moment later, calling an ambulance to the car park and passed McGee the cuffs. He reached Revens and checked his pulse. “He’s alive but weak. He’s losing blood, but breathing.” Tony said. “Andrew here is stunned and not going anywhere, just keep an eye on him, I’ll follow the passage,” Tim said. “Got it,” Tony replied. Tim ran full pelt down another flight of stairs and found the exit. Sure enough, he was in the car park. He notified them of his exit. “Revens is this way,” he said to the emergency team. “One flight of stairs,” They raced back, hoping to make it in time. The Hotel Room, Two Hours later. “And that’s all there is to report so far,” McGee finished as he spoke to the director through MTAC. “Impressive McGee. You have helped take in three drug lords so far, I should promote you,” Jenny said with a smile. “I still have no word from the LA team on the apprehension of Green Dragon.” “I hope they are prepared as we were,” Tim answered. “It is too late to get word to them now. Let’s just hope White Tiger’s capture hasn’t reached his ears by the time they start moving. In the meantime, what is White Tiger’s condition?” Jenny asked. “He needs a few stitches for two cuts on his right arm and to recover from being nearly knocked unconscious, so we can’t talk to him until at least this evening when the pain killers and grogginess have faded,” McGee explained. “Better a wounded soldier than a dead one,” Jenny muttered. “I want you and Tony to lie low. Just because White Tiger has been apprehended doesn’t mean lower ranked members of the ring won’t come after you. While you should be safe at your Hotel, I want you to keep an eye out. If all else fails, report to the NCIS base and stay there,” Jenny explained. “Yes ma’am. I will report back once White Tiger has been interrogated,” Tim said. “I am putting you through to Abbey’s lab, she has some things to show you,” Jenny said. “Understood,” McGee said. The screen went static for a moment before the unmistakable sound of heavy metal came blasting down his headphone. Having turned the volume down before the connection, Tim called out to Abbey. “Abbey are you there?” Tim called. There was no answer. Tim picked up his phone and sent her a quick text. Her phone could be heard a few moments later, and Abbey picked it up while standing in front of the communicator she had in her lab. “ABBEY!” Tim called, making her jump. “Oh, sorry McGee I was just... answering your text message.” she looked up at him with a smile. “The Director said you’d be calling through. After your attack, Black Turtle was searched from head to toe and I have had fun playing with these toys. First one is a dart gun in a watch. Usually, the dart penetrates anything short of a bullet or stab-proof vest. It is very original to...” “Moonraker,” Tony said casually from his position on the bed, reading a report. “Yeah, the Bond film. Same principal; wrist impulse to fire. There was also a band around his ankle. He must have put it on wrong or Gibbs hit him too quickly, because if he pressed a button on the leg band, he would have been shot with the same thing. Now I have emailed a warning to your partners in Texas,” Abbey said with a poor accent imitation, “And they said they did a search finding similar toys. They are being sent to my lab, but I suspect that the poisons and activations will be similar.” Abbey said with a smile. “I’ll see you when you get back.” “Seeya Abbey,” McGee said. The line was closed and McGee put his headpiece down. Turning to Tony, he saw him finish the last page of the brief. Tim walked over to the bed and climbed on top of him, straddling his hips. “Miss me?” Tim asked. “Not since you were only on the other side of the room. But I do miss the closeness of us, of this,” Tony admitted. “Am I turning you Tony?” McGee asked. “I don’t know McGee. I’ve just been thinking what happens when my time working for you ends?” Tony admitted. “We can’t, and probably won’t have a relationship, because I’ll miss pussy too much, and you will too eventually. So what do we do?” “Well, we can have the rare occasion together,” Tim offered. He climbed off Tony and lay beside him. “Like friends with benefits? I suppose that could work. You’d be my only man though,” Tony answered. “We don’t use our relationship for blackmail...” Tim began. “Duh, because that incriminates the other,” Tony added. “And I’m sure there are times we can have a bisexual threesome,” Tim suggested. “Sounds good,” Tony replied. “Until then, however...” Tim started, leaning in for a kiss, but the sound of glass shattering and something else breaking turned their heads. Another smash had them standing and pointing guns. More glass broke and this time they saw what it was that was breaking. All the windows on one side had been broken in by thrown ceramic pots, and with each broken pot, different snakes had slithered out and were starting to cover the floor. A/N: Yes, very James Bond, but I thought it was worth it to tell a good story. I hope you like it. A few reviews would be good to tell me if I am doing the right thing by this story. I still have a lot of developing to do with Tony, but it will come to pass. Thanks Ryan for your review, it is a relief that I am making this work to what is a good effect. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
